A famous English comedy movie named “Love Actually” made a big splash in the whole world. It shows us that love is all around, as long as you observe carefully with your heart. If the world is full of love, there are not difficulties anymore. In fact, Bravery is all around, too. Bravery can conquers all things. We can know the brave heroes from the history, such as Abraham Lincoln, who is generally considered as the greatest presidend of America. We can hear about the events of fearless people from the elderly people, just like Lin Ze Xu's active fight against opium smuggling in Guangzhou. Also, we can see that how the peoples show their bravery in a story. In the stories “Sir Gawain and Green Knight” and “The Sniper”, both the protagonists Sir Gawain and the Republican sniper’s bravery inspired us.

In the story "Sir Gawain and Green Knight", Sir Gawain is a brave protagonist who is true to his promise by finding the Green Knight's castle and refusing the temptation of Lord Westall to escape. Sir Gawain is the protagonist who shows his fearlessness when he decided to find the Green Knight.For instance, a year later, when Sir Gawain had to leave King Arthur and other knights to keep his promise," Sir Gawain led his horse through the snow in North Country until he found a castle." He was not afraid of snow and the severe weather. It shows he is determined to keep his promise.In short, he is brave because he could face any difficulties for being true to his promise. An added thought, Sir Gawain refused the Lady Westall's temporary accommodation in the castle of Lord Westall. Lady Westall told him that Green Knight is so horrific again and again. Also, she said "Run for your life! You' re going to die." However, brave Sir Gawain refused her by saying, "I don't want to die, I want to live! But I still want to go to the Green Castle." He insisted on going to see Green Knight, whatever it took.Thus, he not only resisted the temptation but also persisted in going to Green Knight's castle. His acts of skill and bravery show that he is really a brave hero. In summary, being brave is a characteristic of Sir Gawain, he is a knight who is sedate in the face of difficulties for being true to his promise, and shows bravery in the story.

In this short story "The Sniper", the Republican sniper is a brave character who is not afraid of the enemy car and coming up with the trick to kill the sniper of Free Stater. The sniper is the protagonist who shows his fearlessness when the enemy knew where he was. For instance, "The sniper raised his rifle and fired." when the old woman informed the turret gunner that the sniper lay on the rooftop. Finally, the head of the turret gunner fell heavily on the turret wall. The sniper was really good at shooting. In short, he is courageous because he didn't escape in the face of danger.In addition, he is brave even he is in the face of danger and injury. For example,the sniper planned to escape because he was wounded. Later, he came up with a rush to kill the other sniper. The sniper took off his cap and placed it over the muzzle of his rifle. Then "he pushed the rifle slowly upward over the parrpet, until the cap was visible from the opposite side of the street." The clever sniper made the enemy sniper think he had died. Eventually, when the enemy sniper was standing on the rooftop, the Republican sniper killed him. The sniper's ruse had succeeded. Therefore, both Sir Gawain and the Republican sniper face the problems and solve the difficulties by showing their bravery. What will happen if they flinch form difficulties? They would die. What will happen if people shrink back before the difficulties of life? A lack of courage makes their heart dying. Life is full of problems, but it will be easier if we have enough courage. Life is a challenge, meet it with your bravery. Life is a promise, fulfill it with your courage. Life is a sorrow, overcome it with your fearlessness. Life is a struggle, accept it with your boldness.
